The baroque chapel on the Petersberg was established on the 28th of June, 1763 and consecrated at Easter 1764.
From 1934/35 to 1938 the chapel was restored. In 1937 the building also received a heating fed by the nearby hotel and in 1938/39 an organ was established.
The chapel is opened constantly for devotions. Beside the frequent use as a wedding chapel, services take place here on every first Sunday in the month at 10 o'clock.
