The nearly square base with the high, narrow shaft from andesite owns the level mussel niche typical for many road crosses. The front and the left side of the base contains an extensive text.
The extensive and mainly well-preserved (restored?) inscriptions provide information about the endowment year and the founders, presumably also about the stonecutter. Above the mussel niche the endowment year is to be read: 1692
Under it the following text continues:
"DEN·6·MAY
HABENDISSE
3·ZV·DERHREN
GOTTES·DIS·
CRVZ·GESETZ
ET·ALS·BERN
IENGES·VNT·
MARIA·SCHR
ODERS·EHLE
VT·VND"
The inscription is further continued on the left base side, gone over obviously before not too long time:
"(?)RGEN
MICHELBEC
K·VND·MA
RGRETH
REVBHAV
SEN·EHLEV
TVON·HEI
SPEROT
JACOBVS·
STELING·
VONKONIG
SWINT
