Oude A.N.W.B. wegwijzer te Marssum - Friesland, NL. Blauw/witte strepen met een gevleugeld wiel op de top, geplaatst tussen 1922 en 1951. Vanaf 1951 werden de wegwijzers voorzien van het A.N.W.B. vignet en vandaag de dag kom je deze wegwijzers niet veel meer tegen.
Old A.N.W.B. directionmarker at Marssum - Friesland, NL. Blue/white stripes with a winged wheel on the top, placed between 1922 and 1951. From 1951 the road signs were provided with the A.N.W.B. Vignette and you do not encounter these signposts much more nowadays.
Historic significance:
The marker was placed by the Algemene Nederlandsche Wielrijders-Bond (A.N.W.B.) who provided these signs for cyclists. In 2013 all maintanance went to a new organisation, de Nationale Bewegwijzeringsdienst.
