FR L'église Saint-Pierre de Pierrevert, église paroissiale de la commune, placée sous le patronage de saint Patrice, est une église de style roman située sur la commune de Pierrevert dans le département des Alpes-de-Haute-Provence en France.
Construite au Moyen Âge (vers le milieu du xiie siècle), la première église ne comprenait que la petite chapelle du Rosaire. Plus tard, en raison de l’accroissement de la population, on construisit la grande nef. Enfin, en 1822, on y ajouta une troisième nef dite de Saint-Roch. Ces agrandissements successifs, exécutés à de longs siècles d’intervalle, ont fait de cette église un monument disparate et original.
Originale, la façade sud se termine par un fronton trilobé, coiffé d’une petite croix en fer forgé. Le clocher domine le village de Pierrevert. Composé de quatre arcades et d’une flèche, sa grande cloche date de 1810.
EN The church of Saint Pierre de Pierrevert, parish church of the commune, under the Patronage of Saint Patrice, is a Romanesque church located in the town of Pierrevert in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department in France.
Built in the Middle Ages (about the middle of the twelfth century), the first church included only the small chapel of the Rosary. Later, due to the increase in population, the great nave was built. Finally, in 1822, a third nave of Saint-Roch was added. These successive enlargements, executed at long intervals, have made this church a disparate and original monument.
Originally, the south façade ends with a trilobe pediment, wearing a small wrought iron cross. The steeple overlooks the village of Pierrevert. Composed of four arcades and an arrow, its large bell dates from 1810.
