In Holliston, near the Holliston Town Hall, is an obelisk that is a Civil War monument for residents of this town who served in the U.S. Civil War.
The monument is locate northeast of the town hall and is close to the Central Burying Ground.
The monument is at least 15 ft tall and is an obelisk form, with a pointed top. On each side is text. The west face has the following just below eye level:
"Erected by the Town of Holliston in memory of her soldiers who died IN THE WAR FOR THE UNION
1867"
Above, are names of people. There are names on all four sides. At eye level, two of the sides contains the names of the battles in the war. These two sides also have a sword feature on the wall. The 4th side has the images of a flag.
