The Green Plaques Project, an initiative of the Berry and District Historical Society, was officially launched on Thursday, June 29 2017.
An official unveiling was held at the Berry Museum. Eleven historical buildings in Berry now have circular, bronze green plaques installed. Each plaque features a brief summary of the building’s history.

The Berry Hotel
The Kangaroo Inn was built on this site in 1865 and replaced in 1888 by the brick, two storey Commercial Hotel. In 1924 the building was remodelled and renamed The Berry Hotel.
