The seaside links at Monifieth contain two golf courses as well as three golf clubs on the eastern fringe of the town. The courses play over seaside turf which stretches all the way eastwards to Carnoustie
The Ashludie Course is the shorter of the two, playing to a par of 68, with four short holes and no par fives. There are only two holes over 400 yards long, both usually playing into the prevailing west wind.
Despite its lack of length the course plays difficult over typical linksland, with low sand dunes and sandy scrubland throughout.
Times can be booked at the starter's hut next to the first tee on the Medal Course. There are three clubhouses attached to the courses, Monifieth, Broughty and Grange Golf Clubs. There is also a professional's shop too.
