FR Le pont de Manosque est un pont suspendu, permettant aux piétons et voitures (camions interdits !!) de franchir la Durance, sur les communes de Manosque, Gréoux-les-Bains et Valensole.

Un premier pont suspendu est construit en 1838-1843, mais il est emporté par la crue millénale de novembre 1843 quelques jours avant son inauguration. Sa reconstruction est achevée en 1847. Il est restauré une première fois en 1891. Financé par le trésor royal et garanti par le péage (payé jusqu’en 1882), il mesure 200 m de long et 5 de large.

Il est remplacé par un nouveau pont, encore en service, portant une travée de 205 m, pour une largeur de 6 m, avec deux trottoirs. Il a été endommagé par des bombardements en 1944 ; certains câbles ont été changés en 1956, d’autres en 1989.

Depuis quelques années, la vitesse y est strictement limité à 50 km/h.
EN The bridge of Manosque is a suspension bridge, allowing pedestrians and cars (trucks prohibited !!) to cross the Durance, in the communes of Manosque, Gréoux-les-Bains and Valensole.

A first suspension bridge was built in 1838-1843, but it was carried away by the millennial flood of November 1843 a few days before its inauguration. It was rebuilt in 1847. It was restored for the first time in 18912. Financed by the royal treasury and guaranteed by the toll (paid until 1882), it is 200 m long and 5 wide.

It is replaced by a new bridge, still in service, with a span of 205 m, for a width of 6 m, with two sidewalks. It was damaged by bombing in 1944; Some cables were changed in 1956, others in 1989.

In recent years, speed has been strictly limited to 50 km / h.
