[DE] "Der mitten im Wald gelegene See entstand 1985 in einer ehemaligen Bimsgrube. Das Gelände rund um den See wurde einschließlich großer Schutzfläche künstlich angelegt. Die Fläche beträgt 3,5 Hektar bei 5 Meter maximaler Tiefe. Im Laufe der Jahre hat sich das Gewässer zu einem großartigen Biotop verwandelt. Die Wasserqualität ist ausgezeichnet und wird regelmäßig kontrolliert. Die Liegewiese ist blitzsauber, ebenso die Toilettenanlage.
Das Gewässer dient an erster Stelle der Nacherholung der Krufter Bevölkerung. Die Gemeinde übernimmt die Kosten für Pflege und Instandhaltung des Geländes und der Zufahrt.
Der Krufter Waldsee ist von der K 53 erreichbar. Dort ist auch ein Parkplatz für Badegäste vorhanden. Vom Parkplatz zum See sind es etwa 10 Min. Fußweg. Der See ist für Badegäste vom 1. Juni bis 15. September geöffnet. Montag bis Sammstag von 9.00 Uhr bis 20.00 Uhr. Sonntags ist immer geschlossen. Der Eintritt ist kostenfrei. Dank eines sanft abfallenden Südufers ist die See für Kinder und Nichtschwimmer geeignet.
. Ein kleiner Spielplatz bietet zusätzlicher Abwechslung. Die See ist über einen etwa 600 Meter langen Waldweg zu erreichen, da Autos nicht bis zum See fahren dürfen (Naturschutzgebiet). Autos können aber kostenlos auf einen speziell für Badegäste angelegten Parkplatz, geparkt werden. Der Parkplatz ist über K 53 zu erreichen. Am See gibt`s keine Gastronomie, Essen und Trinken muss mitgebracht werden."
