In den Lehrwerkstätten der Voith Unternehmensgruppe entstand Denis Pondruels Stahlplastik.
Der Pariser Künstler bringt darin zwei gleichermaßen alltägliche wie skulpturale Elemente - Raum und Stuhl - in einen (im Wortsinn) "verrückten" Zusammenhang. Ein monumentaler Stahlquader beherbergt in seinem Inneren einen kleinen, unzugänglichen Raum, der nur durch schmale Ausschnitte von außen wahrnehmbar ist. Durch diese Ausschnitte bewegt sich ein Stuhl, der an einer langen Stange außerhalb des Quaders befestigt ist. Von einem Elektromotor angetrieben, bewegt sich der Stuhl zu jeder vollen Stunde in Schwüngen bzw. Kreisen durch den Quader und den unzugänglichen Raum in seinem Inneren.
Außen und Innen, Raum und Volumen, Statik und Dynamik, Linie und Fläche usw. werden so systematisch verkehrt und damit poetisch verwandelt.

The Parisian artist brings two equally everyday and sculptural elements - space and chair - into a "crazy" context. A monumental steel block houses in its interior a small, inaccessible space, which can only be perceived through narrow sections from the outside. Through these cutouts a chair moves, which is fixed to a long bar outside the cuboid. Powered by an electric motor, the chair moves at every full hour in turns or circles through the cuboid and the inaccessible space in its interior.
Outside and inside, space and volume, statics and dynamics, line and surface, etc., are thus systematically reversed and thus transformed poetic.
