The Rhode Island Memorial is located on the grounds of the Andersonville National Historic Site and stands near the Wisconsin Memorial (visit link)

The Monument is carved from Westerly granite with the state code of arms on the front. The four bronze plates contain the names of the 74 soldiers from Rhode Island who died while imprisoned at Andersonville. One of those names is that of Charles F. Curtis who was one of the prison raiders that was tried and hanged by is fellow prisoners.

The Rhode Island Monument was dedicated on April 30, 1903.
