Constructed in 1900, this is a two-story rusticated sandstone building in the downtown area. History records that it was more embellished in its earlier days than it is at the moment. The building houses the Country Kitchen on the ground floor. This restaurant has been around for quite some time, as it is shown as the occupant when the building was placed on the National Register in 1984.
The storefront has been modernized and consists of a single aluminum and glass entry door on the right, with two display windows to the left. The entrance to the second floor is at the far right, and is a wood, 9-paned door leading up to an optometrist's office. The storefront has a wood awning above which is a large signing reading "Country Kitchen". Above the door to the second level is a wood panel with an octagonal stained glass window.
The second level has four single 1/1 windows with stone sills and lintels. On the upper wall is a stone name block which shows no name.
