This metal plaque is mounted on a post, and it says:
South Ward Educators
John (1869-1932) and Mollie (1873-1910) Veasey began teaching in Mineola in 1899.
By 1903, he was principal of South Ward School.
Their contributions were important to the Growth of Mineola.

Mr. Veasey's final resting place is unknown. Note the variant, "Veasy", that appears, also on the plinth, on the reverse. Mrs. Veasey's headstone reads:
