EN The current Baume bridge dates from 1886 but another bridge had preceded it built in "donkey" in 1365. An even older bridge has surely existed but no trace.

In 1879, part of the bridge collapsed and despite temporary reinforcements, it must be noted that a new one has to be built. This will be done between 1879 and 1886.

In 1905, the winter was so rough that the Durance froze and some of them blew pancakes under the bridge on a fire lit on the ice!

Finally, the bombardment of August 1944 did some damage, but the passage was still possible. Repaired, it is the bridge that spans the Durance of our days.

A particular fauna inhabits the bridge, do you have an idea? A colony of bats, small bats, whose species is protected.
