The Milford Haven War Memorial stands in a quiet location in a small park overlooking the Haven Estuary (Milford Sound)

The impressive War Memorial features several sculptures, a Soldier, & Sailor, each side on the stepped base & an Airman, atop the monument.
All dressed in period military uniforms.

The four sides of the monument are covered by the names of those lost, (engraved in gold leaf) who came from Milford Haven Area.

The base & many of the plaques are partially hidden, by scores of poppy wreaths, laid in memory of those that served their country & paid the ultimate price.

The web sites I have listed show photos of the Plaques & Names in detail:

"Standing on the Terrace, coverlooking Milford Sound. An imposing sculptured memorial, with a stone figure of an armed sailor on the east face; an armed and helmeted soldier on the west face, and surmounted by an airman in flying clothing, with a propeller behind his legs, atop the column. The column is faced with polished grey granite, around which are the WW1 names, upon a polished grey granite plinth. The whole sits upon a square concrete base, each side adorned with a rail, and below which, on each face, is a bronze plaque listing the WW2 names. The memorial commemorates a total of 239 men who lost their lives in WW1: engraved upon the polished grey granite slabs, the front (north) face records the names 78 men of the Army and RAF, with a further 5 on the rear, below those of the Navy; on the other three faces are listed the names of 156 men of the Naval Forces. On all faces, first initials, surname, any decorations (which includes one VC winner), and service/unit are listed. Around the square base are listed a total of 157 men who lost their lives in WW2: on the east and west faces are a total of 114 who served in the Armed Forces, arranged in surnamed alphabteical order, with initials and service; and on the rear face 12 members of the Merchant Navy, and 31 Fishermen.
