This zinc headstone is for Laura E. Crane, wife of A.F. Crane, who died on December 15, 1880 at the age of 40 years, 3 months, and 10 days. The large monument includes the words, "To know her was to love her." It also includes a replica of a medallion which says "Grand Army of the Republic Veteran, 1861-1866." The location of the monument is in the Erie Cemetery, which is known as the final resting place of many of Erie's most famous historical figures.
