Time dulled the jazzy swagger of this corner's terra-cotta, green with golden accents. Legendary restaurateur George Mardikian's Omar Khayyam is long gone. Then a new owner in 2006 turned back the clock, restoring such long-gone details as the translucent transom windows and the parapet's chorus-line strut.
