Météo-France dispose sur tout le territoire métropolitain d’un réseau de 554 stations d’observation, le réseau Radome, qui alimente l’établissement en mesures de température, d’humidité, de pluviométrie, de vent, de rayonnement. Son maintien en conditions opérationnelles constitue une priorité.

Météo-France has a network of 554 observation stations throughout the metropolitan area, the Radome network, which supplies the facility with measurements of temperature, humidity, rainfall, wind and radiation. Its maintenance in operational conditions is a priority.

Pour les besoins de la surveillance du temps et de la prévision immédiate, Météo-France redéploie actuellement son réseau d’observation au sol. À terme, ce réseau, appelé Radome, sera apte à surveiller, en temps réel et de façon continue, l’atmosphère et son évolution jusqu’à l’échelle infra- départementale.

To supply the needs of weather watch and nowcasting Météo-France is rebuilding its ground observation network. In the end, this network, called Radome, will be able to monitor the atmosphere and its evolution at a subdistrict scale in real-time.

Visit Instructions:

attire/equipment and the subject weather station in
the background. The main photo should be of just the
weather station itself.
