In the basement of a bakery in the Old Town of Hamburg are these two bells located.
These two bells are a faithful replica of the 1,000-year-old Hamburg cathedral bells. In the immediate vicinity of the bishop's tower, a perfectly preserved bell casting pit was discovered in 1986 during an archaeological excavation, which was used to cast the early Hamburg cathedral bells. These precious pieces can be seen in the exhibition.
