Seit 1932 steht diese lebensgroße Bronzeskulptur eines jungen Paares des Bildhauers Gregor von Bochmann d. J. (1878 - 1914) in Düsseldorf-Oberkassel.
Ein junges Paar nimmt sichtlich bewegt Abschied voneinander. Der Mann bricht mit einem Bündel seiner Habseligkeiten auf, vermutlich um Arbeit zu finden. Äußerst realistisch sind die Figuren in ihrem ärmlichen Erscheinungsbild wiedergegeben: der Mann mit Holzschuhen, die junge Frau mit bäuerlicher Haube und grobem Rock.
Since 1932 stands this life-size bronze sculpture of a young couple by the sculptor Gregor von Bochmann d. J. (1878 - 1914) in Düsseldorf-Oberkassel.
A young couple has visibly emotional to say good-bye. The man sets out with a bundle of his belongings, presumably to find work. The figures are reproduced extremely realistic in their miserable appearance: the man with wooden shoes, the young woman with peasant hood and coarse skirt.
