The full text of the sign:
The Green Gate was built as part of the city fortification after the year 1507. After the great fire of the PArdubice in the year 1538 was this gate renovate in gothic style by Master Jirik. On the west entrance is situated relief with story of Jesek from Pardubice during the battle of Milan in 13. century
