Der Wasserfall im Freizeitpark Rheinaue ist ebenso wie der Rheinauensee künstlich angelegt. Er wurde mit dem ca. 160 ha großen Park für die Bundesgartenschau 1979 angelegt.

Das Wasser wird aus dem See etwa fünf Meter hoch gepumpt und fällt dann als Wasserfall wieder zurück in den See. Oberhalb des Wasserfalls gibt es einen Aussichtspunkt mit Bänken mit Aussicht auf den Rheinauensee. Unterhalb gibt es die Möglichkeit, den See auf großen Steinquadern zu überqueren.

The waterfall in the park Freizeitpark Rheinaue is artificial, just as the lake Rheinauensee. It was built with the approximately 160 hectare large park for the garden presenataion show Bundesgartenschau in 1979.

The water is pumped from the lake about five meters high and then falls back as a waterfall back into the lake. Above the waterfall there is a viewpoint with benches with a view of the lake Rheinauensee. Below there is the possibility to cross the lake on large stone blocks.
