"Jerry Horace Corbett, 67, of Lovell, died on April 3, 2009 at the Billings Clinic.

Jerry was born in Lovell on Aug. 8, 1941, to John (Jack) and Loy (Sessions) Corbett. He joined sisters Margaret, Dot, Bertha and Jackie.

His parents both died when he was a young boy. His sister Margaret and her husband, Jim Wirth, didn’t want to split the kids up so they took them into their home and raised them alongside their own three children.

Jerry graduated from Byron High School. He attended Northwest College and Brigham Young University, where he earned his teaching degree in math.

He married his love, Michele Tippetts, on Sept. 16, 1965, and they were married 43 years. Together they raised three daughters; Stephanie, Cynthia and René.

After graduating college, he and his wife moved to Cowley, where he taught math to hundreds of students from 1966-1996.

He worked at Nepeco on weekends, holidays and during summer vacations for most of his life, doing anything and everything to support his family. He also worked for Great Western Sugar and G.K. Construction.

Jerry had an outrageous wit and humor. He enjoyed helping people, and he was known for his innovative ideas. His family and friends were very important to him, and he loved going for rides with his three dogs."
