There is an etched plaque beside this restored mortar, which reads:
[Australian Armed Forces crest]
3 Inch Mortar Mark II, WW2
Donated by
Beresfield
RSL Sub-Branch
26th January, 1986
President, Gil Smith
Treasurer, Robert Schuck; Secretary, Max Turnbull
Padre, Peter Mumford; Father John Woods

There is no suitable parking in Allendale Street or Anderson Drive, and I had to park in Delprat Avenue, to the north of the park. If you are a Lawn Bowler, you may be able to park at the Beresfield Bowling Club just to the west of the park!

Photographed: 1720, Sunday, 31 January, 2016 [I didn't get a photo of the two mortars in the one shot.]
