Installed in 1884 this time ball signalled the time to ships in Victoria Harbour, Hong Kong. One of the world's major trading ports. The ball is located in a separate tower at the Police HQ, which is now a historic building. This position has a commanding view of the Harbour. The ball is in service, but was undergoing repairs at the time of my visit (Juune 2017). The tower is now a historic site. Entry is free.

Visit Instructions:
You must, of course, physically visit the waymark. Posting a photo of your visit is good, but try and take a photograph of the site distinct from an existing photo—a different angle, or something overlooked by previous visitors. Include a short description of your visit: was the ball or cannon in use, a popular tourist destination, anything new added, anything changed? Work towards keeping the waymark current.
