A First World War Cenotaph, with additional Wars & Conflicts, added at later dates. Stands proudly alongside the beach in the UNESCO World Heritage Zone, George Town on Penang Island, Malaysia.

The memorial was originally erected on Armistace day, November 11th 1929 for those who fell in World War I. The inscriptions on the obelisk reads '1914-1918', however, there is a second inscription, 1939-1945 added by the 'Penang Veterans Association' to the rear of the monument.

A side plaque on black marble is inscribed with all the Wars & Conflicts Commemorated:

Re-Insurgency Period -1968-1990
