"The single western tower dates from the mid-13th century and is an imitation of those of Notre-Dame de Paris, which it equals in height (66 m, or 216 ft). The tower was restored after it and part of the nave were severely damaged in World War I. A matching tower on the other side of the façade was originally planned, but never built."

About the bells:

The six bells baptized in 1924 all have for common decoration: the cross, the coat of arms of Monsignor Binet (1920-1927) and those of the city of Soissons. Marie-Henriette-Amérique-France-Victoire is also adorned with a bundle of two flags with the inscription: Vive la France and Vive l'Amérique. Strainer would have a representation of the two martyrs Gervais and Protais. In Gervaise, it would have been attributed the Virgin in relief and to Crépinienne as Juliette, the saints Crépin and Crépinien martyrs. Finally, Sixtine was enriched with the coat of arms of the cathedral chapter (one of its donors).
