Die Waldau in Bonn ist ein besonders bei Kindern beliebtes Ausflugsziel am Rande des Kottenforsts. Das liegt sicherlich zum einen an den Wildgehegen, wo Kinder Hirsche und Wildschweine hautnah beobachten und füttern können. Einen nicht unerheblichen Anteil hat aber auch dieser große und abwechslungsreiche Spielplatz für Kinder verschiedenen Alters.

So ist der Spielplatz u.a. mit folgenden Spielgeräten und Einrichtungen für Klein und Groß ausgestattet:
  • Verschieden hohe Rutschen
  • Klettergerüste und -parcoure
  • Verschiedene Arten von Schaukeln
  • Wippen und Wipptiere
  • Großer Sandkasten mit Wasser- und Sandspielen
  • Tischtennisplatten
  • Bänke und Picknick-Möglichkeiten direkt auf dem Spielplatz
  • Imbiss sowie Toiletten in unmittelbarer Nähe an der Waldau

Die meisten Spielgeräte sind in einem natürlichen Holz-Design gehalten, um die Naturverbundenheit der Waldau zu unterstreichen und den Kindern ein Waldorf-Gefühl zu geben. Nichtsdestotrotz sind natürlich alle Spielgeräte auf dem modernsten Stand der Technik.
"Waldau" in Bonn is a local recreation area at the edge of the forest Kottenforst. It is especially popular with kids, for once, because of the game reserves where children can observe very closely deer and boar and even feed them. On the other hand, this large and diversified playground for children of all ages also boosts the popularity among kids.

The playground is among others equipped with the following devices and facilities:
