This Italian Renaissance building, sheathed in stucco with a red tile roof, was designed by J.M. Glover in 1925. This was a popular style for Houston libraries in the 1920's. The main library, the Julia Ideson Building, was built in a similar style. Both buildings are graced with intricate decorative stone trim.
