"En 1857, on batît ici le premier temple protestant nîmois depuis l'inscription de la liberté des cultes dans la déclaration des droits de l'homme et du citoyen. En raison de défauts de construction, le temple est démoli en 1869 et reconstruit entre 1870 et 1874 par l'architecte de la ville, Granon. La façade fait référence à l'architecture romane. À l'intérieur, une charpente métallique - matériau de construction caractéristique du XIXe siècle - dessinée comme des croisées d'ogives, soutient la voûte de la nef."
"In 1857, the first Nîmes protestant temple was erected since the inscription of freedom of religion in the declaration of the rights of man and citizen. Due to construction defects, the temple was demolished in 1869 and rebuilt between 1870 and 1874 by the architect of the city, Granon, with a façade that refers to Romanesque architecture, and a metal framework - a characteristic building material of the 19th century - shaped like ribbed windows, Vault of the nave. "
