EN: "Bergplastik Zervreila" is a bronze sculpture by Raoul Ratnowsky. It shows an angel with a lion. The original was erected in 1960 at the Zervreila dam in the mountains of Grisons, it is 4.40 meters high.
A slightly smaller copy or preliminary study can be found in the planting area behind the Goetheanum.
Raoul Ratnowsky (1912-1999) was a Swiss artist who felt closely connected to anthroposophy and worked from 1952 at nearby Goethanum as a teacher of sculptural design.
Angel (from Wikipedia): "An angel, especially according to Abrahamic religions and Zoroastrianism, is a spiritual being superior to humans in power and intelligence. Angels are typically described as benevolent, dreadful, and endowed with wisdom and knowledge of earthly events, but not infallible; for they strive with each other, and God has to make peace between them. Most of them serve either as intermediaries between Heaven and Earth, or as guardian spirits."

Eine etwas kleiner Kopie oder Vorstudie befindet sich in den Nutzgärten hinter dem Goetheanum.
