The Regent has a free standing pillory sign set away from the pub building.
The sign has a head and shoulders picture of George IV, who was Prince Regent while his father was mentally incapable between 1811 and 1820. This time is known as the Regency period.

The Regent is a traditional roadside local, built in the 1930's, with interesting floor tiling and many art deco features. (visit link)
