The bridge also known as Ryan's Bridge is a Historic England Grade II Listed BUilding.
"Accommodation bridge. 1777 by James Brindley, brown brick. Deep segmental arch; battered abutments curved in plan; brick parapets with flush stone copings; square end piers; one or two stone voussoirs below arch springings." link

The sides of the bridges on the towpath had wooden insert to protect the bridge from damage from the tow ropes used by the horses to tow boats on the canal. The protector no longer exists but the site of its location can still be seen.

Close to the bridge is a store of stop planks. These are used to block off the canal when it needs to be drained for maintenance. Bridges and locks are often the sites for such planks because the canal is at its narrowest at these points.
