The Vratislav Palace (Vratislavský palác), located in Tržište Street in Prague' Lesser Town (Malá Strana), is one of less known Baroque-Classicist palaces in the Czech capital.
The Vratislav Palace, bearing name of Vratislav of Mitrovice (Vratislavové z Mitrovic) noble family, is three-storeyed Baroque palace with Classicist facade, terrace garden and salla terrena in the rear wing of the building. Currently it houses the Embassy of the Republic of Ireland and the American Centre.
Kryštof František Vratislav of Mitrovice purchased two medieval burgher houses in Tržište Street in 1671 and subsequently rebuilt them into
Baroque palace with profounded front wing and square inner courtyard.
Palace was reshaped in a Classiscist style in 1824–1834, when it obtained current austere front facade. Completely reconstructed after 1990.
