Unless there has been recent logging (and the Wangat Trig Trail has been graded and widened) don't expect too much in the way of easy access to this concrete pedestal trig.
Not sure what this significance is, but there is a 'pipe', with square block of concrete on top (about 'a foot square', ie, 30 cm x 30 cm, and 10 cm thick), about 3 metres away from the trig.
The trig is just off a very clayey track, and sits on a square concrete base. Don't expect to see it until you get to about 15 metres away from it, as it is completely surrounded by thick bush.
While the concrete pedestal HAD been painted white (once upon a time), it is now a mouldy and motley camouflaged khaki/grey/green. It has a white plastic post, with black semi-circular vanes (with a few punched holes on each), and a name plate in a recess on the pedestal - which reads:
"Central Mapping Authority
Geodetic Station
WANGAT"
