The alternating bevels of the saw blade teeth have bent into being straight instead, and the hardened tips ground off, so as to make it as safe as practical, while still looking a functional circular saw blade.
The metal letterbox is sitting on a series of linkages, probably used to cinch the logs to the trolley for the saw. The diameter of the saw blade would be about 50 cm. While the blade and letterbox have been painted in the past, they are both rather rusty now.
