Bomb victims common grave:

The war graves site bomb victims Hamburg-Ohlsdorf is located within the Ohlsdorf cemetery, which is located in the Ohlsdorf district of the city of Hamburg, Germany. The bomb vistims collection tomb with memorial is located near the eastern entrance to the cemetery (Bramfeld, Bramfelder Chaussee) near the chapel 13.

There are 36,918 victims from the bombardment of Hamburg during the Second World War in common graves. Most corpses were transported by truck to Ohlsdorf cemetery, without being able to be identified. Eighty prisoners from the Süderstraße concentration camp buried the corpses. The four grave field arms are arranged in the shape of a cross. The names of the twenty Hamburg districts from which the victims are, are listed on large oak beams on the burial grounds.
