After the local chain donut store two blocks away closed in 2001, the City of Tonawanda was left donutless. Then plans were announced in early 2005 for a new Tim Hortons to be built in a city-owned parking lot. The site is extremely cramped, and there aren't many parking spaces alloted to the store. There is a 24-hour drive-thru.
