Im Frankfurter Ostpark steht die Bronzeskulptur "Idol", geschaffen 1988 von der Frankfurter Künstlerin Moni Jahn.
"Idol" steht für die Muttergottheit, ihre Weiblichkeit für das Leben. Solche Figuren gab es schon vor 30.000 Jahren. Diese Bronzefigur ragt säulenförmig nach oben und geht in einen überdimensionierten Brustbereich über, der ungefähr ein Drittel der gesamten Figur ausmacht. Dieser dominante Teil öffnet sich nach zwei Seiten. Den Abschluß bildet ein abstrakter Kopf. Der horizontale Bereich verkörpert das Hier und Jetzt, der vertikale Bereich stellt die Verbindung von Vergangenheit und Zukunft dar. Insgesamt erinnert die Form der Skulptur an ein Kreuz.

"Idol" stands for the Mother Goddess, her femininity for life. Such figures already existed 30,000 years ago. This bronze figure protrudes columnar upwards and passes into an oversized chest area, which takes about one third of the entire figure, this dominant part opens to two sides. The conclusion is an abstract head. The horizontal area represents the here and now, the vertical area represents the connection between the past and the future. Overall, the shape of the sculpture recalls a cross.
