Erzherzog Leopold von Österreich errichtete 1619 in Diepoldshofen eine Poststation der Poststraße Füssen - Ensisheim, die bis zum Ende des 17. Jahrhunderts bestand.
Abgeleitet hiervon ist das Wappen der Gemeine Diepoldshofen ein weißes Posthorn auf rotem Grund.
