On 19 December 1975 at 5:03 pm the motor ship "Wiedau" collided with the "Mieczyslaw Kalinowski" and then with the barge "Uwe". The "Wiedau" and the "Uwe" sank.
The "Wiedau" was lifted in 1976. The broken "Uwe" was partly lifted. The stern stayed in the water because it was too heavy. Later the city bought the terrain and left the wreck as a kind of wave crusher in the silt.
