This statue has a story of its own. It was dedicated two years to the day after the death of Ken Kesey.

Ken Kesey was a local writer. He is a folk hero to some in these parts and an evil promoter of the drug culture to others. Some of his works include One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest and Sometimes a Great Notion.
