This fountain is known as "Fonte Luminosa" and stands at the east point of Alameda Dom Afonso Henriques, in Lisbon. It was inaugurated in 1943. It's an icon of the city.
There's a geocache real close dedicated to this fountain -
Pede um desejo [Lisboa].
The fountain is located on Alameda D. Afonso Henriques, which was the first King of Portugal.
More commonly known as Afonso Henriques, or also Affonso (Archaic Portuguese), Alfonso or Alphonso (Portuguese-Galician) or Alphonsus (Latin version), (Guimarães, 1109?, traditionally July 25 – Coimbra, 1185 December 6), also known as the Conqueror (Port. o Conquistador), was the first King of Portugal, declaring his independence from León.
