A committee restored it, moved it 3 1/2 miles to behind the Colesville Town Hall.

Over 1800 hours were spent restoring it to mid-1800s. No taxpayer money was used. The Preservation Society of the Southern Tier gave an award for authentic restoration.

Programs are presented and over a thousand visitors have seen it.
