[EN] This mosaic is located on the main portal of the Münsterbasilika in Bonn.
It shows the preaching of the Lord to Mary.
"According to the general calendar of the Roman calendar, the Annunciation is celebrated as a feast of the Lord (Annuntiatio Domini) in the proper form of the Roman rite, as it contemplates the incarnation of God, and in the extraordinary form of the Roman rite it is still celebrated as an Annunciation (Annuniatio beatae Mariae virginis). If March 25th in Holy Week or the Easter octaval, the feast in the Latin church will be postponed to the first day after the Easter octav, since the cartage as well as the days of the Easter octavate occupy a higher rank in liturgy and therefore supplant the feast .
