PIC You can not miss this brightly colored building, home of a wine shop and the visitor's centre. They offer a wide range of maps, brochures on local tourism as well as regional and British Columbia information.

At the Penticton & Wine Country Visitor Centre, you will find friendly and knowledgeable staff that can assist with almost anything you might like to do while in the Valley. You can float down the Okanagan River Channel, play a round of golf, or visit one of the more than 60 wineries that are within a 20 minute drive.

While in Penticton you can purchase tickets to many local events as they are also home to Ticketmaster.

At the beginning of the 2011 tourist season the Penticton Western News ran an article on the Penticton & Wine Country Visitor Centre, the city's major outlet for information on all there is to see and do in the region. The article also managed to publish plugs for some of the touristy locations in town. Read a bit of the story below.

The Penticton and Wine Country Visitor Centre is busily preparing for one of its most exciting seasons yet. A great feature for this season is our unique and comprehensive Outdoor Recreation map. This map offers topographical representation of the South Okanagan with hiking/biking trails, sites for bird-watching, scuba diving, and much more.

Penticton and Wine Country Tourism is sporting a refreshed logo and has just launched its new website, Tourism Penticton, featuring a more emotive and interactive experience for visitors, including “share” and “like” features for activities and accommodations, enhanced links to social media channels and more comprehensive online booking experiences for those operators with online booking capabilities and TripAdvisor.

Along with the new website, a fully-integrated campaign promoting 2011 travel to Penticton was also just kicked off in Penticton’s gateway markets of the Lower Mainland, Calgary and Edmonton. Check out the new site today and tell all your out-of-town friends.
