EN: The SDIS 68 (Service Départemental d’Incendie et de Secours / Departmental Fire and Rescue Service, 68 is the number of the adminstrative division Haut-Rhin) was created in 1996 as a result of the nationwide reorganisation of the fire service organizations. The site Saint-Luis is the southernmost of the four regional centers in the departement. The center is responsible for a total number 151 municipalities with about 130,000 inhabitants. It is supported by nine regional subcenters, 21 intervention sections, and 95 municipal fire stations. The station is a large complex with two main buildings and several annexes. The postal address is from Saint-Louis, but a part of the site, including the entrance area is on the soil of neighboring Hésingue.
The center has 45 professional firefighters and 213 volunteers.

Le site Saint-Luis est le plus au sud des quatre centres régionaux du département. Le centre est responsable d'un nombre total de 151 municipalités avec environ 130 000 habitants. Il est soutenu par neuf sous-centres régionaux, 21 sections d'intervention et 95 stations de pompiers municipales. La station est un grand complexe avec deux bâtiments principaux et plusieurs annexes.
