This handsome arch marks the formal entrance to Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church at Hostyn TX. Parishoners built the arch in 1926 using stones left over from an old church wall that was dismantled to build the nearby Our Lady of Lourdes grotto the previous year.

A plaque built into the arch reads (in English) as follows:

"[To the Glory of God]
Rev. Pavel P. Kaspar
1926"
Year built or dedicated as indicated on the structure or plaque: 1926
