Die 16 Stahlsäulen stehen für die 16 Bundesländer. Das Kunstwerk wurde von Gustav Peichl, dem Architekten der Kunst- und Ausstellungshalle der Bundesrepublik Deutschland, geschaffen.
16 steel columns, which stand for the 16 federal states. Gustav Peichl is also the architect of the Art and Exhibition Hall of the Federal Republic of Germany behind it.
