The Erin Arts Centre is located in a former Wesleyan Methodist Chapel, sold to Dr John Bethnell MBE in 1971, which has been converted to a create a venue for music, drama and the visual arts.

The Centre is an internationally recognised arts centre in the south of the Isle of Man in the village of Port Erin.

The Centre operates as a Registered Charity and is 'dedicated to presenting performing, vocal and visual arts for the benefit of the islands community.'

The Centre has is known nationally and internationally for its ground-breaking music and opera performances, and its international competitions.

The main (the Isle of Man Bank Auditorium) has fine acoustic and suitable for a wide range of music. This Auditorium can accommodate anything from an instrumental recital to small orchestra ensembles, choral concerts, opera and more recently film.

A new continuo organ was delivered to the centre in September 2004. This instrument was designed and built on the Isle of Man and features decorative panels by Iris Burton which are based on 13th century originals.

The Sir James Mellon Gallery is the Centres dedicated gallery space and was opened in 1994 and is suitable for arts and crafts projects and exhibitions with a fine combination of natural and artificial light.

The Centre is currently (Spring 2017) being extended. The exterior wall is now complete but the work on the interior continues. So far only the piano storage and the new dressing room are complete. Once the work is complete there will be storage space for scenery and props.

Harry's Bar is licensed to sell wine and offers a selection of hot and soft drinks during events. The centre has kitchen facilities which allow the staging of lunches and catered events.
